Jameela Jamil Gets Stylish in Platform Heels for ‘She-Hulk’ at Comic-Con – Footwear News
Jameela Jamil let her mean side roam at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 on Saturday. The actress made her debut with a sharp new look during the presentation of the upcoming TV show “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law”, in which she plays the villainous Titania, as part of Phase 4 of Marvel. The new show will premiere on Disney+ on August 17.
The “Good Place” star took to the stage with co-stars Tatiana Maslany, Jessica Gao, Anu Valia, Kat Coiro and Ginger Gonzaga in a sleek black mini dress. Designed by David Koma, the sleek sleeveless number – which Jamil called a “bad guy dress” on Instagram – featured a deep neckline, fitted cut and keyhole accent. The dress was completed with a crystal lizard accent on her hemline. Jamil finished her look with a delicate bracelet, necklace, cocktail ring and sheer black tights.
Jamil donned a pair of platform sandals for the occasion, which featured thin ankle straps and curved toes on chunky platform soles. A set of chunky block heels, appearing to feature suede uppers, completes her look with an apparent height increase of 4 to 5 inches. The style added a bold yet versatile finish to Jamil’s outfit, while streamlining it to create a monochromatic appearance.
Platform sandals like the “How to Build a Girl” actress have gained in popularity thanks to their height-increasing heels and secure platform soles, as well as the added balance of the top straps. Pairs with stiletto and block heels have also grown in popularity, as seen in new styles from Aquazzura, Loeffler Randall and Schutz. Besides Jamil, stars such as Kathryn Newton, Jennifer Lopez and Kate Beckinsale have also attached themselves to the Prada, Andrea Wazen and Sophia Webster platforms in recent weeks.
