Bridgerton Star Nicola Coughlan attends the Met Gala for the first time. To commemorate the momentous event, the actor opted to wear a jaw-dropping ensemble created by British designer Richard Quinn. “I can’t believe I’m actually going,” the actor said vogue with enthusiasm. “It’s the morning of the event and my dress is hanging next to me. It’s surreal.

The look – featuring a pink and black embroidered and feathered ballgown with matching cape – draws inspiration from 19th-century lavish style fabrications with its silhouette, exposed cups and use of duchess satin. “The pieces are amazing to wear, even when I put on the first canvas it was cut beautifully. Richard and his team are so impressive,” Coughlan says of the look. “We are thrilled to work with Nicola. the epitome of golden glamour, especially since she recently starred as the iconic Lady Whistledown in Bridgerton‘, Quinn says of her work with the actor. ‘We wanted to embody the theme through form and textile without being too literal.’
Styled by Aimée Croysdill, the ensemble is paired with Jimmy Choo pumps and exquisite jewelry from Swarovski. “Jewelry is the perfect way to finish the look, as it gives it that golden yet totally modern glamour,” Croysdill says of the finishing touches. “Nicola uses fashion and jewelry as a way to express himself – and that’s exactly what I want my collection to be: a catalyst for someone’s personality,” adds Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert, Swarovski Creative Director .
