Nicole Kidman Shares Her Daughters’ Funny Reaction to Oscar Nod
Nicole Kidman earned her fifth Oscar nomination for her work in “Be the Ricardos.” Although she was surprised and thrilled to be recognized by the Academy, not everyone in her household had the same reaction.
During an appearance on View, Nicole Kidman has opened up about her Oscar nomination and how happy it made her. “I’m like, what? I mean, it’s like there’s so many emotions attached to it that I didn’t realize I was wearing, and I just looked around her, tears were flowing,” he said. she declared. Then, talking about her kids’ reaction, she said, “And my kids looked at me like, ‘Wow, congratulations mum, anyway we’re going to be late, we have to go’.”
Nicole Kidman has two daughters with Keith Urban, sunday rose13 and Faith Marguerite11. She has two adopted children from a previous marriage to Tom Cruise, Isabella and Connor.
Kidman explained that she considers her husband and children in every decision she makes. “Family has to come and have to support – I’m asking them to let me go and do it and take some time away from them,” she said. As she prepared to play the role of Lucille Ball, something Kidman found daunting, she turned to her family for support and constructive criticism. “I would sit them on the couch and I’d do it and they’d be like, ‘Hey, you still got a lot of work to do. “”She also explained that her daughter wanted to be a director. “She has this eye and she looks,” she says.
In an interview with Variety, Kidman shared her reaction to her fifth nomination and how she’s even more excited than the first time around. “It’s a thousand times more [exciting]. I don’t know if it’s the age or the fact of having children of 13 and 11 who understand a little about what it is. My husband, who is so much a part of it all, and having a family to celebrate with is amazing. I find that as you get older, everything becomes more intense.
